ODE TO DAVE SILBERG

A Very Dear Friend, Dave Silberg, of our organization has passed away and is with all of his eternal friends, family and companion animals that he has had in his lifetime.  I always tell people when you leave this earth you have to leave your mark on it.  Well Dave has certainly left his mark on it and with us and all the animals he has provided comfort to. He was with me from the very first time we started to make beds, in my home garage, and all through the years we are providing our services to shelter and rescue groups. He had health problems BUT you never heard him complain. When we moved the operation up to a garage it has a flight of steps that I sometimes have difficulty climbing, he never complained if it was too cold or too hot to fabricate our beds.  His only concern was the welfare of the animals we were helping have comfortable sleeping until they found their forever home. In addition to helping us help them he also had cats and dogs that him and his wife Mary Ellen have adopted or picked up from shelters and are currently providing these waifs of our society with loving and caring homes. He will be remembered for his knowledge he left with us in his experience in sewing fabric for our beds. Dave was always there for us and our animal friends. I hope his face got washed with all the love he received when he was reunited with his departed animal friends. I could sense their excitement when they learned of him leaving the earthly world and coming home to them.  It must have been one happy yappy reunion when dave was free of his handicaps and able to romp and play with them.

Goodbye our good friend – keep a watchful eye over me
