Camp Papillion

It was said it takes a village to raise a child. Equally so it takes a lot of humans who care to provide shelter, food & caring to our four legged friends. Recently we had the pleasure of outfitting a new shelter with comfortable bedding for the lost souls. Our hats go off to this shelter and many others for caring 24 – 7 for abandoned dogs, cats and others.  I  have been an animal lover all my life and never realized that the shelter animals sometimes in shelters that cannot afford beds are sleeping on cold, damp concrete floors. So we went about trying to fix that problem, by starting a not for profit organization. We supply beds to shelters at no cost. The people in the picture all have a interest in animal welfare starting from the left Lori Giannakouros, who also gave a $100.00 private donation from her and her husband,  from the Beltway Diner, Hazleton and next Cathy Falatko from Boscovs Restuarant, Hazleton. My two angels  who allow us to place containers for fundraising at their business places. Next to the two gals is Chris from Camp Papillion holding one of his adoptees.  Toni McGarry and her husband who have adopted many cats and dogs from shelters and contributed to our cause also. I am on the end Paul kattner, Founder Beds4paws with his faithful companion snowball. With some of the funds collected at these restaurants combined with others we were able to provide beddding for this new shelter.  This is what we do in a small way, with the help of our supporters. Camp Papillion  just received over 20 Yorkies from a hoarder and these poor souls need medical and special care to bring them back. We hope that they will enjoy their new beds and be adopted into forever homes.
